Here I am, my 60th something post, and I have yet to write about a movie that I have watched over and over again, “X-Men: First Class”. It is without question, one of my favorite films within the past few years.

The idea: This movie takes us back in time to have a peek at some old (but new) events that we haven’t before seen. The movie depicts life events of Erik Lensherr (Michael Fassbender) who later becomes known as “Magneto”, as well as young Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), Raven (Jennifer Lawrence), and the evil Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon) among other mutants featured. The movie take us along with it as it shows the struggle between mutants and humans, and mutants versus mutants. (I know this isn’t much of a plot description, because it is complex and I didn’t want to over extend this post.)

Evaluation: So, I liked it. No…I loved it. Well, actually I’m a little obsessed with it to be honest. Of all the Blu-Ray discs I own, this has by far been one of the most watched. Was it the music, the settings, the cast, the creativity, or just the fact that this is another incredible Marvel character movie? Let’s see here…it was all of the above!

What a terrific flow of energy this movie has, combined with the right people, detailed surroundings, and epic soundtrack that boosts our enthusiasm while watching. Sure, non of it’s real, and it defies many areas of science in every way imaginable, but that’s what’s so great about it!

Sorry gang, I think what we have here is another review with the tiniest ounce of my bias overview. But let me just try to think of something I didn’t like about it…yeah…like that’s gonna happen.
